Introducing Dhanur AI: AI employees for Indian businesses

Today we are opening early access to Dhanur AI. It gives Indian businesses AI employees: agents that answer customers, follow up on leads and keep the back office moving. You set the rules, approve what matters and see what every task costs, in rupees.

This post covers what we are building, who it is for, exactly what works today, what comes next, and how early access works.

The work we want to take off your plate

Talk to anyone who runs a shop, a clinic, a coaching centre or a small services firm and you hear the same story. The day disappears into messages. What are your timings? Do you deliver to my pincode? Is the batch full? Can I move my appointment to Thursday? Meanwhile a new enquiry sits unanswered for three hours, an invoice goes a week past due because nobody sent the reminder, and the owner spends the evening copying numbers into a spreadsheet.

None of this work is hard, but it never stops, and it pulls the best people away from the work only they can do. That is the work we want AI employees to take on.

What an AI employee is

An AI employee on Dhanur AI is a role, set up the way you would brief a new hire:

A job description in plain words: what it does, who it serves and what it must never do.
Knowledge it can use, such as your FAQs, price lists and policies.
Tools it is allowed to use, such as sending a WhatsApp reply or looking up an order, and nothing beyond that list.
Limits on what it may spend and when it has to ask a person first.

Each piece of work is a task. Every task keeps a record of what the agent read, which tools it used, what it decided and what it cost in rupees. When a task needs a human, such as a reply to an upset customer or a refund, the agent drafts the work and waits for your approval.

Who it is for

We are building for Indian businesses that run on WhatsApp, email and phone calls, and whose teams answer the same questions many times a day. Owner-led businesses of every kind fit that description: retailers and D2C brands, clinics, tutors and training institutes, agencies, distributors and service companies.

You do not need to write code. If you can explain a job to a new team member, you will be able to set up an AI employee.

Built for how India works

WhatsApp first. It is where your customers already are, so it is the first messaging channel we are building for, alongside email.
English and Hindi to start. These are the first two languages, and more will follow.
Priced in rupees. Costs are shown in ₹ on every task, with GST invoices from an Indian company.
Hosted in India. Our databases run in Bengaluru. The privacy policy names every service that touches your data.
Your data stays yours. We do not train AI models on customer data.

What works today

We would rather tell you exactly where we are than oversell. As of today, these are live:

Sign-in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with your Google account.
Workspaces and projects, so a business can keep its agents, knowledge and team together.
Team invites and roles. Owners, admins, builders and viewers each get the access their job needs.
An installable app at app.dhanurai.com, which you can add to your phone or computer like any other app.
Our policies, covering terms, privacy, cancellations and refunds, and service delivery.

That is the foundation, not the finished product. You cannot build an AI employee yet. What you can do today is claim your workspace, invite your team, and be first in line when the builder opens.

What comes next

Next is the agent builder, with a tasks inbox, approvals and the cost of each task. This is the heart of the product: you describe a job, test it safely, approve its early work, and then let it run.

After that, we will build:

Tools and knowledge, so agents can take actions in the software you already use and answer from your own documents.
WhatsApp and other channels, so agents can work where your customers are.
Billing and limits, with rupee pricing, GST invoices and spending caps for each workspace.
Workforces and evals: teams of agents that hand work to each other, and test sets an agent must pass before it goes live.

We are not putting dates on these. Each one ships when it works properly, and the changelog will record it when it does.

How early access works

Early access is free, and no card is needed. You get a workspace with room for your first teammates and a project to organise your work. The pricing page lists what is included.

Paid plans will come later. They will be priced in rupees plus GST, and we will announce them at least 30 days before anything is charged.

Early members shape what we build first. When you sign up, tell us which job you would hand to an AI employee first. That tells us which templates and integrations to build before the others.

We are also handing our own company's work to AI employees: support, operations, finance, trust and safety, and a chief of staff, with the founder approving what matters. We will share how that goes, including the parts that do not work. Building in the open explains the plan and the guardrails.
