WhatsApp, in pilot

Answer customer enquiries on WhatsApp, in pilot

Many customers would rather write on WhatsApp. Answering there is a pilot: for a small number of workspaces, our team connects a WhatsApp number to your agent, and it replies from your own information, with approvals where you want them. You can't connect your own number from the app yet; it's next on our list.

About ₹2.17 a reply on the Smart level. ₹25 of free credits, then pay as you go. What it costs

Who it's for

Is this you?

  • Shops, clinics, tutors and service businesses whose customers write on WhatsApp
  • Businesses happy to work with our team to connect a number during the pilot
  • Anyone who wants to share a chat link on WhatsApp today, without the pilot

The problem

In your words

  • My WhatsApp is full of the same questions, and I answer them one by one.
  • Messages that come in late wait until morning.
  • I answer customers from my own phone, between everything else.

An example, not a customer

An example home bakery in Kochi

A home bakery in the WhatsApp pilot, on a number our team connected. The bakery is made up, to show how the jobs fit together. Every step here uses WhatsApp, which is a pilot.

  1. 9:05 am

    Answers a price question

A customer asks the price of a 1 kg eggless cake and whether the bakery delivers to Kakkanad. The agent says it is an AI and answers from the price list and delivery areas.

  2. 9:06 am

    Reads quick messages together

The customer sends two more messages while the agent is still writing. It reads them together and answers both in its next reply.

  3. 11:30 am

    Hands over a custom design

A customer sends a photo of a cake design. The agent can't look at photos yet, so it says the team will check and hands the conversation over.

  4. 11:45 am

    Replies with the owner's price

The owner writes the agent a private note with the price for that design. The agent replies to the customer in its own words, on WhatsApp.

  5. Next day, 4:00 pm

    Sends an approved template

More than 24 hours after the customer's last message, the owner sends an approved "your order is ready" template from the task.

  6. Next day, 6:00 pm

    Respects STOP

A customer replies STOP. They get one confirmation, and no more messages from the number unless they reply START.

What it does

Each job, and where it stands today

Live works in the app today. Pilot works today for a small number of workspaces. Next is being built now. Planned is on the plan, with no date.

  • Answer customers on WhatsApp

    Pilot

Your agent or workforce replies on a WhatsApp number our team connects, from your own knowledge, in the customer's language. Its first reply says it is an AI.

    How it works
  • Approvals inside WhatsApp's 24 hours

    Pilot

Replies set to ask first wait in Tasks. WhatsApp accepts a normal reply only within 24 hours of the customer's last message, so approve in time, or let it go ahead after a few hours.

    How it works
  • Send an approved template after 24 hours

    Pilot

From the task page, with its values filled in. During the pilot, our team creates templates with you, and each one has to be approved before you can send it.

    How it works
  • STOP and START

    Pilot

A customer who replies STOP gets one confirmation and no more messages from your number. START turns replies back on.

    How it works
  • A wa.me link, a QR code and delivery ticks

    Pilot

Share the link or print the QR code at your counter. Each reply shows Sent, Delivered, Read, or Not delivered with the reason.

    How it works
  • Share your chat link on WhatsApp

    Live

Works today without the pilot. Send your chat link to a customer, a group or your status, and they chat with your agent on a web page.

    How it works
  • Connect your own WhatsApp number

    Next

From the app, yourself, instead of asking us.

  • Approve actions from WhatsApp

    Next

Approve or reject an agent's actions from a WhatsApp message.

  • Reminders and follow-ups on WhatsApp

    Planned

Reminders and follow-ups go by email today.

Every feature and its status is on the feature status page.

You stay in charge

What stays with you

  • Which replies go out on their own and which wait for your OK.
  • Templates: your team picks and sends them from the task.
  • Complaints, refunds and anything it can't answer come to your team, with the reason.
  • Customers who reply STOP get no more messages unless they reply START.

Before you decide

Good to know

  • It's a pilot for a small number of workspaces. Our team connects the number; you can't connect your own from the app yet.
  • The agent can't look at photos customers send yet. It sees that a photo arrived, with any caption. Voice notes and videos are noted, not played.
  • We don't send bulk offer messages. The agent answers the customers who write to you.
  • Since 1 October 2026, WhatsApp charges for replies too: about ₹0.18 a reply in credits, on top of the AI that writes it.
  • It doesn't answer Instagram DMs or phone calls.
