API

What the API does

• Start agents and read tasks, so your software can hand work to your AI team and pick up the results.
• Uses REST and JSON under a versioned /v1/api path.
• Run your own tools from your own systems, with the same inputs you would type into the tool's form, and get the result in the same request. See Tool run API.

API keys

• Keys belong to a project, so a key only reaches that project's agents and tools.
• Owners and Admins create and revoke keys under Integrations, then API keys.
• A key is shown once, when you create it. We store only a hash, so copy it somewhere safe straight away. If you lose it, create a new one and revoke the old one.
• Treat a key like a password. Keep it on your server, and never put it in a web page or a mobile app.

Your own AI provider keys

Planned. Adding your own keys for AI model providers, so that model use is billed by your provider. Today, every agent runs on Anthropic Claude models through Dhanur AI. See Limits and costs.
