Images for your posts

Live

Give a post a free stock photo or your own photo, and save or share any image in the app, on a phone too. Making images with AI is paused for now.

A post with a picture gets noticed. An agent can find a free stock photo that fits, or use a photo of your own, and send it with its reply or put it on a LinkedIn or Instagram draft.

You need the Owner, Admin or Builder role to switch tools on.

Find a stock photo

  1. Open the agent's Build tab and find Tools.
  2. Turn on Find a stock photo. It runs without asking, and costs nothing.
  3. Select Publish agent.

Then ask for a photo in plain words, such as "a photo of a small team planning at a whiteboard", or select Find a stock photo on a LinkedIn or Instagram draft that is waiting, in Chat or on its task in Tasks. The agent searches Pexels (or Pixabay), picks the best match, sends it with its reply, and gives the credit line, such as "Photo by Asha Rao on Pexels".

If a draft says “Find a stock photo” is off, the agent doesn't have the tool yet. An assistant made before stock photos arrived starts without it. Select the link on the draft: it opens the agent at the tool. Turn it on and publish, and the draft offers Find a stock photo.

Pexels and Pixabay photos are free to use, and credit isn't required, though it's kind to give. Don't use them to show a real person endorsing you, and don't sell them as they are. Only the words the agent searches with go to Pexels or Pixabay.

Use your own photo

In Team chat, attach a photo with the paperclip and say what it's for, such as "use this photo for the post". On a LinkedIn or Instagram draft that is waiting, in Chat or Tasks, select Use my own photo and pick one. The agent uses it as it is.

This needs Let people send files on in the agent's Build tab. If it's off, the draft says so, with a link.

Make images with AI

Paused. Making product photos and posters with AI is switched off on Dhanur AI for now, so Create an image isn't offered and agents don't make posters. Use a stock photo or your own photo instead. We'll say in the changelog when it's back.

Where images appear

  • Where they show: Team chat, the test chat, website chat, share links, the task page and the run API.
  • See one full size: select an image. It opens over the page, with Save, Share and Close, on a phone too. Press Esc or select Close to go back.
  • Where they don't, yet: email, WhatsApp and Slack replies can't carry an image. There the agent says so instead of finding one.

Post it yourself

Except for LinkedIn and Instagram posts you approve, Dhanur AI doesn't post for you. It gets the post ready:

  • A caption to copy. Ask for an Instagram post in Team chat, without Instagram connected, and the agent adds a short caption and a few hashtags, under Caption to copy.
  • Save and Share. Every image in the app has them: images in chats, the photo on a LinkedIn or Instagram draft or scheduled post, and photos in a task's Files. Save downloads the image, named after what it is, such as dhanur-linkedin-post-2026-10-06.jpg for a post's photo. Share opens your phone's share menu, where you can pick Save image, WhatsApp or Instagram. On a computer, Share appears only where the browser supports it.

Good to know

  • Limits: at most 4 photos per task, and 3 with one reply.
  • Kept like other files: images stay with the task for 90 days, like the files customers send.
